The National Archive Centre No. 4 in the central highlands province of Lam Dong has found documents that shed light on Vietnam ’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos.

The documents, engraved in Han script on 14 wood blocks, have been identified to be under the Nguyen Dynasty (1802-1945), serving as evidence to assert Vietnam ’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos.

According to the Centre’s Director Pham Thi Hue, the contents of the documents have been translated and handed over to the State Record Management and Archive Department of Vietnam.

The documents valuably contribute to illuminating and confirming the country’s territorial waters and sea and island sovereignty./.
