Dong Nai: 330 million USD of FDI in two months

According to Bo Ngoc Thu, Director of the provincial Department of Planning and Investment, foreign investors registered to start nine new projects with a total capital of 85.72 million USD in the first two months of 2014.

Meanwhile, nine ongoing projects in the local industrial parks raised their existing capital by 244.65 million USD.

Dong Nai has to date granted investment licences to 1,401 projects with a total capital of 24.7 billion USD.

The province is now one of the four most attractive localities to investors with around 18,700 operating businesses, including more than 1,000 foreign-invested companies.

Japan ranks first among the 40 countries and territories investing in the province with 167 projects totalling 3.1 billion USD, mainly in the fields of electronic components, computer and machine manufacturing, transport and environment.

This year, businesses in the province want to recruit 62,000 additional workers.-VNA
