The Embassy of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) in Vietnam held a ceremony and banquet in Hanoi on September 8 to mark the country’s 63 rd National Day (Sept. 9, 1948-2011).
Speaking at the ceremony, DPRK Ambassador to Vietnam Kim Chang-Il reminisced about the DPRK army and people’s heroic struggle for national independence and their national development over the past 63 years.
He said that the DPRK people are doing their utmost to build the wealth and strength of the country.
As a guest at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Thanh Bien said he is pleased with important achievements the DPRK people have made during the past six decades.
He expressed his belief that under the leadership of the Workers’ Party of DPRK headed by General Secretary Kim Jong-Il, the DPRK people will overcome all immediate difficulties to harvest greater achievements in the future./.
