Hanoi (VNA) – A draft law on foreign trade management was approved by the National Assembly (NA) on June 12.
Up to 88.19 percent of the NA deputies attending the afternoon sitting, part of the NA’s ongoing third session, voted for the bill, which consists of eight chapters with 113 articles.
Before the deputies cast their votes, the NA Standing Committee delivered a report explaining amendments to the bill.
With 86.97 percent of approval votes, the parliament also passed revisions and supplements to the agenda of its third session as proposed by the NA Standing Committee.
Accordingly, from June 16 to the end of the session, the agenda will include the consideration and approval of the appointment of two justices of the Supreme People’s Court.
The vote on a draft law on planning, which was initially expected to be carried out at this third session, will be delayed.
According to the NA Standing Committee, there remain a number of different opinions and many issues relating to regulations in various existing laws. Meanwhile, more opinions from ministries and sectors directly subject to the draft law are needed.
Therefore, the bill needs further improvements before it is submitted to the parliament at the fourth session, the Standing Committee said.-VNA
