Several important draft reports were put on table during the first day of the 10th meeting of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) in Hanoi on January 5.

In the morning, Politburo member, Secretary of the CPVCC and head of its Commission for Popularisation and Education Dinh The Huynh delivered the Politburo’s draft political report, which will be submitted to the upcoming 12th National Party Congress.

He then presented the Politburo’s draft report summarising several theoretical and practical issues during the 30-year renewal process.

Meanwhile, Politburo member and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung read the Politburo’s draft report on the assessment of results of the implementation of socio-economic development tasks during 2011-2015 and orientations for 2016-2020, which will be to be submitted to the national congress.

In the afternoon, To Huy Rua, Politburo member, Secretary of the CPVCC and head of its Commission for Organisation, delivered the Politburo’s draft report on the enforcement of the Party Statute approved at the 11th National Party Congress and the implementation of the Party’s strategic personnel plan.

The CPVCC’s 10th meeting will conclude on January 12.-VNA
