Vietnam’s economic hub – Ho Chi Minh City--is hosting two international expos on packaging technology and plastic and rubber equipment and materials, offering a bridge for local and foreign producers to get connected.
Propak Vietnam 2010 drew the participation of 168 businesses dealing with packaging technologies from 20 countries and territories, including those boasting cutting-edge technology in the field such as Germany, Italy, France, the UK, the US and Japan.
Meanwhile, Plastic & Rubber Vietnam 2010 saw the convergence of 205 companies, 80 percent of which came from 21 countries and territories.
David Aitken, Managing Director of the Bangkok Exhibition Service Company and Bui Thi Thuc Anh, Director of the VCCI Exhibition Organising Company – the companies that jointly organised the expos, shared the view that the Vietnamese market is more sustainable than the international market.
The officials said that seeing multi-billion USD investments in key sectors and technological renewal in many businesses, they decided to hold the two expos in Vietnam with the hope of helping local businesses further improve their production capacity to contribute to the development of southeast Asian country’s economy./.
