The Dung Quat Oil Refinery Plant, which is operated by Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Company (BSR), sold 3.3 million tonnes of oil and gas products in the first seven months of this year, reaching 58 percent of its target.

According to Dinh Van Ngoc, General Director of BSR, the plant earned over 70 trillion VND in revenue and contributed almost 12 trillion VND to the state budget in the period.

To ensure the constant operation of the plant, BSR will continue to import crude oil to slowly replace the oil supply from the Bach Ho field in the coming time.

The company will exploit new oil sources to serve the expansion and upgrade of the plant in accordance with the direction of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam).

Along with production, BSR will also focus on managing and operating the facility safely and stably, and optimise the production process to improve efficiency to fulfil its production plan.

In the four years of the refinery’s operations, BSR has sold over 21 million tonnes of products, raking in 417 trillion VND.

This year, the company is expected to produce 5.65 million tonnes of oil and gas products, making revenue of 111 trillion VND.-VNA
