A Foreign Ministry spokesperson on March 24 described the European Commission (EC) decision to lift anti-dumping tariffs on Vietnamese leather-capped shoes from March 31 as “suitable”.

Nguyen Phuong Nga made the comment at a regular meeting of the Foreign Ministry in Hanoi on March 24, responding to queries raised by reporters on Vietnam ’s reaction to the EU’s decision.

She said: “The EC decision to cancel the anti-dumping tariffs levied on Vietnamese leather-capped shoes from March 31, 2011 is suitable to real production and exports in Vietnam ”.
