Moscow (VNA) – The Vietnam Embassy in Russia is working to verify profiles of five people, allegedly Vietnamese, who were killed a recent traffic accident in Pskov region.

According to the Russian news agency TASS, a head-on collision took place on the Saint Petersburg – Nevel road at midnight, leaving five dead and eight injured. Five of the survived people were in critical condition. All of the deceased were presumed to be Vietnamese.

Investigation into causes and further details of the accident is underway.

After the news was reported, he Vietnam Embassy sent a team to the scene to carry out citizen protection procedures.

Vu Hoang Anh, head of the embassy’s consular office, said the work is facing difficulties because personal papers of the victims were damaged.

However, the embassy will do its best to support Vietnamese citizens, he affirmed.-VNA
