Hanoi (VNA)Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc recently issued a plan to review the five-year enforcement of the 2013 Constitution.

Accordingly, the plan requires the assessment of the constitution’s enforcement by the National Assembly, the President, the Government, the Supreme People’s Court, the Supreme People’s Procuracy, the Audit State Office of Vietnam, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

In line with Resolution No.64/2013/QH13 and Resolution No.718/NQ-UBTVQH13, the review must be transparent on the achievements and shortcomings in the process, thus proposing measures to continue effectively materialising the constitution.

Reports by ministries, agencies, and localities will be collected and added into a report reviewing the five-year constitutional enforcement.

It should also be combined with the review of the implementation of the Politburo’s Resolution No.48-NQ/TW dated May 24, 2005 on a strategy on building and refining Vietnamese legal system until 2020 with orientations to 2020, and the Politburo’s Resolution No.49-NQ/TW dated June 2, 2005 on judicial reform strategy until 2020 and building documents for the 13th National Party Congress.

Seminars and conferences will also be held to collect opinions on the review report. –VNA
