Mu Cang Chai district brought a wide range of “One commune, One product” (OCOP) products to the festival, including honey, Pung Luong shan tuyet tea, Seng Cu rice, and several products made from son tra.

Beyond introducing local staples, the festival also offered an opportunity for producers to exchange experience.

Joining the “Son tra” festival, ethnic minority groups in Mu Cang Chai and Muong La indulged in Thai xoe dance and Mong khen dance. They also participated in traditional games and prepared traditional dishes.

Mu Cang Chai and Muong La districts are home to more than 10,000 hectares of son tra. The trees have provided stable incomes for local people over the years.

Every spring when “Son tra” is in full bloom, the two districts attract many visitors coming to admire the picturesque blanket of white flowers.

The “Son tra” festival brought a new experience to visitors this year, helping them gain a better understanding of Muong La and Mu Cang Chai - two districts that boast a great deal of tourism resources./.
