Students of ethnic minority groups will be provided with jobs at their home localities after graduations from universities, according to a freshly-promulgated decree of the government.

The decree No. 05/2011/ND-CP on ethnic minority affairs says that students from ethnic minority groups will receive many priorities in boarding house, scholarship and loans during their study period that are suitable with their training and localities’ situation.

Students from ethnic minority groups of small populations and disadvantage areas will be exempted from training fees.

The decree also stipulates that education in areas of ethnic minority groups will be developed following the common national programme and education policies at all levels will be built in accordance with characteristics of each group./.
