Indonesian air carriers may get a step closer to being allowed back into European skies as a team of aviation experts from the European Union have arrived in Jakarta to discuss the country’s latest improvements in aviation safety, local media reported.

Herry Bhakti Singayuda, director general of civil aviation at the Ministry of Transportation, said that four EU officials arrived on June 15 to discuss the flight ban imposed on Indonesia by the bloc two years ago.|

"So far, the meeting has gone well,” Herry was quoted by the Jakarta Global online as saying.
