The National News Bureau of Thailand (NNT) reported that many countries in the European Union have been satisfied with the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ explanations aimed at convincing them to remove travel advisories against Thailand.

The NNT quoted Jesda Katavetin, Deputy Director-General of the Information Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs as saying that although travel warnings against Thailand are retained in 10 countries namely Iceland, Greece, Italy, Romania, Japan, Taiwan, the Republic of Korea, Canada, New Zealand and Australia, 12 nations have already cancelled their warnings including England and Sweden being the latest ones to respond to the Thai call.

The Deputy Director General said he believed that once the United States and Israel have lowered the level of travel warning against Thailand , the remaining countries should have more confidence in the situation here and relax their warning in due course./.
