Exchange held for young Vietnamese, Cambodian officers

The military high command of the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong and the military sub-region of Cambodia’s Siem Reap province organised an exchange for their young officers in Da Lat city on November 22.

Lam Dong (VNA) – The military high command of the CentralHighlands province of Lam Dong and the military sub-region of Cambodia’s SiemReap province organised an exchange for their young officers in Da Lat city onNovember 22.

Those at the event participated in artperformances and sport activities, and visited tourist attractions in Da Lat.

Recalling the history of friendship betweenVietnam and Cambodia, both sides affirmed the important role of young officersin defence-security missions.

Young officers of the two units showed theirdetermination to enhance their solidarity, contributing to tighteningVietnam-Cambodia relations.

Government pushes stronger data integration to tighten IUU fishing controls

According to the MAE, as of November 15, a total of 79,360 fishing vessels nationwide had been registered and updated in the national fisheries database (VNFishbase), reaching 100%. The number of licensed vessels stands at 76,811. Vessels found ineligible for operation have been placed under local supervision, with commune- and ward-level authorities assigned to manage their mooring.

Japan’s Nihon Denpa News licenced to reopen office in Vietnam

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang underlined NDN’s long-standing and close attachment to Vietnam, noting that it was among the first foreign media organisations to establish a resident office in the country. During the difficult years of the struggle for independence in the 1960s, NDN was the only foreign media agency operating in North Vietnam.
