General Secretary of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations Do Ba Khoa and Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Sunthone Sayachak were prominent guests at the event among Lao students who are studying in Vietnam .
Speaking at the exchange, Vice President of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association Nguyen Huy Quang said that training human resources for Laos is one of the important requirements in the comprehensive cooperation between the two nations.
In recent years, along with great efforts made by the government, more and more Vietnamese mass organisations, businesses and individuals have paid attention to training officials for Laos , he added.
Ambassador Sunthone Sayachak thanked the Vietnamese Party, State and people for their support and assistance to Lao students over the past time.
She expressed wish that the Vietnamese people will harvest greater achievements in their national construction and the special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries will be continuously consolidated and developed in the future.
On the occasion, representatives from the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association and the Vietnam-Laos Connection Company presented a reward of 2 million VND to five outstanding Lao students and 100 million VND to a study promotion fund for Lao students in Vietnam ./.
