A Vietnam-Laos art exchange programme was held at the Lao National Culture Palace in Vientiane on March 11 to celebrate major events in both countries.
Addressing the function, Director of the Vientiane Culture and Information Department Van khon Keonakhon welcomed Vietnamese and Lao arts troupes, particularly those Vietnamese who are former political prisoners and resilient revolutionary soldiers.
The exchange programme is among activities ramping up to both countries major festivals, especially the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi and the 450th anniversary of Vientiane capital and it also serves to promote relations between the two countries.
The event was also held to mark the 55th anniversary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (March 22) and the 35th anniversary of the Liberation of South Vietnam (April 30)./.
