An exhibition on Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos entitled “Quang Ngai – Hoang Sa, Truong Sa: History of Vietnam’s sovereignty over sea and islands” was opened by the Quang Ngai’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on January 29.

The exhibition is showcasing more than 100 photos, maps, objects, documents and documentary films representing sea and islands of Quang Ngai province; Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos; a naval fleet that was assigned to protect Vietnam ’s sovereignty over sea and archipelagos on the East sea.

The documentations, which contribute to affirming the country’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos, come from various sources at home and abroad. They include notes dated to the Nguyen dynasty and studies on culture and history by scholars and researchers.

The exhibition will last until February 12./.
