Over 300 documentary photos and exhibits are being displayed in the central city of Thanh Hoa from April 3-10, aiming to raise the locals’ awareness of protecting the sea and island sovereignty.

Organised by the Thanh Hoa provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the event is an effort to give locals deeper understanding on the Party and State’s policies and views on safeguarding sovereignty and exploiting sea and island potential in national defence and development.

Apart from affirming Vietnam ’s sea and island sovereignty, the show praises good examples of collectives, individuals and soldiers who have exerted efforts to defend the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Many images on display also highlight achievements on Thanh Hoa province’s sea-based economic development.

On the occasion, the province provides free documentary film screening and an art performance on Vietnam ’s sea and islands.-VNA
