The best photos from more than 6,000 entries submitted to the recent Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards 2013 are being displayed in the central province of Quang Binh.

The works depict natural and cultural heritages throughout the country such as architectures, sculptures, paintings, handicrafts, music, dances, folk games, festivals and rituals.

As part of activities to mark the 9th anniversary of Vietnam’s Cultural Heritage Day (November 23), the event aims to call for the public involvement in exploring, preserving and promoting the national heritages.
The show will run from December 24 to January 2.

Quang Binh is the 17th and the last destination in the country to host the touring exhibition which was first held in the central province of Binh Thuan on October 22.

Quang Binh boasts spectacular natural landscapes with Nhat Le, Quang Phu, Bao Ninh and Da Nhay beaches.

It is home to the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park – a world natural heritage site, and the Bang mineral hot spring - the only of its kind in Vietnam with the temperature of outflow water at 105 degree Celsius.

The province this year has so far welcomed 1.2 million domestic and foreign arrivals and expects to receive 1.4 million tourists in 2014.-VNA
