An exhibition entitled “President Ho Chi Minh with China ” opened at the Guangdong Museum of Revolutionary History on June 25.

This is one of the activities to mark the 60 th founding anniversary of the Vietnam-China diplomatic ties and the 120 th birth anniversary of the late President of Vietnam. It was held under a cooperation programme between the Guangdong museum and the Ho Chi Minh museum of Vietnam .

Addressing the ceremony, Ho Chi Minh Museum Deputy Director Nguyen Anh Tuan said the exhibition is a gesture of respect of Vietnamese and Chinese people towards President Ho Chi Minh – the beloved leader of Vietnam and a great friend of Chinese people.

Tuan said he believed the exhibition will help promote the traditional friendship between the two countries and the Vietnam-China Friendship Year 2010 will be a great opportunity to strengthen the bilateral relations.

Also present at the exhibition was Ou Shaowu, Vice Inspector of Guangdong Foreign Affairs Office (GDFAO), member of the Guangdong People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.

He said the event symbolises the history of friendly cooperation between China and Vietnam and presents the contributions of President Ho Chi Minh to strengthening the relations.

As part of the opening ceremony, a photo book entitled “Ho Chi Minh with Guangdong , Hongkong” was launched. It is compiled by the Guangdong People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Guangdong Museum of Revolutionary History and the Guangxi Institute of Sociology.

The book is composed of various pictures portraying the revolutionary life of Ho Chi Minh, especially during the time he was in China./.
