Hanoi (VNA) – An exhibition featuring 29 most outstanding illustrations of the “Hanoi is…” drawing contest is underway at the French Institute in the capital city (L'Espace).

The event is jointly organised by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, L'Espace and the Vietnam Local Artist Group (VLAG).

It forms part of the ‘Unleashing Creativity Week 2021’ launched by the municipal Cultural and Sports Department in late December.

The exhibition also marked the launch of a website of the ‘Ha Noi Rethink’ project at https://hanoirethink.com.

The project aims to help Hanoi realise its strategic vision of becoming a creative city in the field of design and cultural heritage with engagement of Vietnamese youth.

The exhibition runs until January 2, 2022.

In 2019, Hanoi was designated as part of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. Joining the network was a significant step for the capital city to raise its standing and create a new and more attractive image./.
