Hanoi (VNA) – Philippine police said at least two people were killed and four others injured in a bomb blast, which rocked Manila on May 6 and was the second bombing in the capital within a week.

According to National Capital Region Police Office Chief Oscar Albayalde, the explosion took place in Quiapo, an old part of Manila which is home to big slums.

Police are yet to give an answer to this explosion.

A blast also occurred in the same area on April 29, when Southeast Asian leaders were gathering for a summit.

Fourteen people were injured. Police said it was a pipe bomb explosion and was not a terror attack.-VNA
