Exports to ASEAN up 60 percent

Vietnam’s export turnover to the ASEAN market reached 850.6 million USD in the early months of 2010, up to 8.4 percent and 60.6 percent over December 2009 and the same period last year, respectively.

Vietnamese exports of oil,rice and coffee in January strongly increased against the same periodlast year. Oil exported turnover reached 194.8 million USD, up 83.22percent. Rice export value rose by 45.33 percent to 149.25 million USD./.

First “green lane” durian shipment exported to China

​Under the “green lane” process, quality control begins at the cultivation stage, including soil sampling and monitoring, and continues through harvesting and processing, with traceability labels attached to trees and applied to fruit at the time of picking. It also allows plant quarantine procedures and the issuance of certificates of origin (C/O) directly in the localities where the orchards are located.
