Local and foreign artists parade the streets of Da Nang on the evening of May 5 as part of a festive summer in the central city.

Da Nang city stayed up in an extravaganza street carnival, which was part of the Da Nang Int’l Fireworks Festival. About 150 Vietnamese and foreign artists in traditional costumes of their countries performed and danced with local residents.

Vehicles carried symbols of participating countries including Italy’s ancient Roman fort, Britian’s London Bridge and Big Ben Clock tower.

The street carnival will go on every Friday night until the Da Nang Int’l Fireworks Festival 2017 that ends on June 24.

It is also scheduled for Saturday nights when the fireworks shows are off.-VNA
