Vietnamese veteran composer Pham Duy, most known for his song Tinh Ca (Love Song), died on January 27 at his house in Ho Chi Minh City after a long illness, at the age of 92.
During his 72-year-long career, Duy composed roughly 1,000 songs, many of which won the hearts of his audiences. They include Co Hai Mo (Aprico-Picking Girl), Tieng Thu (Sound of Autumn), and Cay Dan Bo Quen (Forgotten Guitar).
Having lived many years abroad from 1975, he came back to settle down in Vietnam in 2005 and organised several live shows in HCM City and Hanoi.-VNA
