Families supported to bring remains of victims in Las Vegas stab home
The Consulate General of Vietnam in San Francisco, the United States, is supporting families of two Vietnamese tourists fatally stabbed in a Las Vegas hotel to go to the US and bring the victims’ remain and ashes home, according to spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang.

(Photo: AFP/VNA)Hanoi (VNA) – The Consulate General of Vietnam in San Francisco, the United States, is supporting families of two Vietnamese tourists fatally stabbed in a Las Vegas hotel to go to the US and bring the victims’ remain and ashes home, according to spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang.
The Consulate General of Vietnam in San Francisco is working with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of External Relations and relevant agencies to support the families of the victims in obtaining necessary documents to travel to the US and to coordinate with the authorized funeral service provider to return the victims’ remains and ashes to Vietnam.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs asked the Embassy of Vietnam in the US and the Consulate General of Vietnam in San Francisco to closely work with the US’s competent authorities to investigate the tragic murder and ensure the legitimate rights and interest of Vietnamese citizens.
Two Vietnamese tourists, Nghia Boi Sang, a 39-year-old woman and Nguyen Le Ba Khuong, a 30-year-old man, were stabbed to death in their room at the Circus Circus Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip on early June 2 morning.
These persons were part of a tour group of Trieu Hao Tourism Company. Sang is the company director and Khuong is an employee of the company.
In a press release issued by the Las Vegas Police Department on June 2, a spokesman said officers were called to the hotel where they found the bodies of a man and a woman.
Julius Trotter, 31, was taken into custody on June 7 for allegedly killing the Vietnamese people during an apparent burglary.- VNA
