Tran Manh Tuan takes to the stage for his first show with the VNSO, performing a series of ballads loved by Vietnamese generations, such as “Gui gio cho may ngan bay” (Send the wind to the flying clouds) by Doan Chuan, Tu Linh, “Em oi Ha Noi pho” (Street of Hanoi) by Phu Quang and “Ha Trang” (White summer) by Trinh Cong Son.
In addition, the two-day performance will showcase some of his own work, including “Mua roi”, “Buom mo”, “Trang non”, “Thang Cuoi” and “Sen”.
The saxophonist will share the stage with conductor Honna Tetsuji; saxophonist An Tran, his daughter; Australian pianist Allan Zavod; and a number of folk musicians.
Saxophonist Tran Manh Tuan has played the saxophone for more than 30 years. He is one of Vietnam’s most successful saxophonists and has played for large audiences all over the world. He has attracted lovers of jazz, pop and world music.-VNA
