President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee (VFFCC) Nguyen Thien Nhan paid a visit to the Vietnam Air Force Officer Training School in Nha Trang city, central Khanh Hoa province, on December 5.

Introducing the development history of the school, headmaster Major-General Nguyen Duy Cuong said since it was established in 1959, the school has trained pilots who can master dozens types of aircraft, including modern ones, and offered more than 60 training courses for command officers and technicians, meeting requirements of the national construction and defence.

In addition to professional work, the school has actively engaged in social activities and helped build local political establishments.

VFFCC President Nguyen Thien Nhan praised the achievements the school has made over the past time, especially the training of quality pilots and technicians for Laos and Cambodia.-VNA
