Chairman of the Fatherland Front’s Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan has extended the best wishes to Christian dignitaries and followers on the occasion of 2013 Christmas.
The Chairman congratulated the Vietnam Catholic Bishop’s Conference, the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (North) and the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (South) on the successful organisations of their general assemblies.
Over the past years, the Catholic community and the Protestants nationwide have been “Living the Gospel amidst the heart of the Nation” to serve the God and the nation and united with other people in the country to follow the Party and State’s policies and laws, Nhan wrote.
They have also responded and participated in campaigns and movements launched by the Fatherland Front, he added.
He said he believes that the Christian dignitaries and followers in the country will continue to uphold the patriotic tradition, develop with the nation and make practical contributions to building the great national unity for a wealthy people, strong country and democratic, fair and civilised society.-VNA
