The Vietnamese will meet Kyrgyzstan two days later in their next group C match, while their final game will be against Hong Kong on May 26.
The qualifiers comprise of four groups with the winner from each advancing to the finals where powerhouses Japan, the republic of Korea, China and Australia lie in wait, having already qualified.
The five best teams from the Cup will earn their slot to compete at the 2015 World Cup in Canada.-VNA
