A festival highlighting Lang Co as one of the 30 most beautiful bays in the world took place in Lang Co town, central Thua Thien-Hue province on June 16-17.
The two-day festival is one of a series of events to mark the 2012 National Tourism Year in Northern Central Coastal Region.
Vice Chairman of the Phu Loc district People’s Committee Cai Loi said the festival aims to promote Lang Co’s tourism potential through various activities, including rowing and cycling races, exhibitions of handicrafts and paintings, seafood and beer festivals and folk games contests.
Lang Co first came on the list of the world’s 30 most beautiful bays three years ago.
With more than 10km of white beaches, Lang Co welcomed more than 220,000 tourists in the first half of the year.-VNA
