A “Festival of India” will be organised in Vietnam from March 5-15, with the aim of introducing the rich and vibrant Indian culture.
The festival was announced at a press conference held by the Indian Embassy and the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Hanoi on February 21.
The event will take place in the three major cities of Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh, with a wide range of activities, including classical dance recitals, a Buddhist festival with the participation of Indian monks, and a celebration of Indian food.
Indian Ambassador Preeti Saran expressed her hope that through the festival, Vietnamese people will understand more about Indian customs and traditional culture.
She said the event will help foster the two countries’ friendship and cooperation.-VNA
