Film week marks 80th anniversary of Vietnam People’s Army

A Film Week marking the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam People’s Army is taking place from now until December 13 in Cao Bang Province and from December 19 to 25 nationwide.

During the Film Week in Cao Bang, several notable works will be introduced, including the feature films ‘Red Dawn’ and ‘Blue Stars on the Waves’ as well as the documentary ‘Sacred Image’.

On December 12, there will be meetings between filmmakers, artists, and officers from the Cao Bang Border Guard Command, and with teachers and students from the province’s ethnic boarding school.

The engagements aim to deepen understanding of the Vietnam People’s Army’s heroic traditions and share behind-the-scenes insights into the artistic journey of Vietnamese filmmakers.

From December 19 to 25, the Film Week will extend nationwide, showcasing a variety of acclaimed films, such as the feature film ‘Peach Blossoms, Pho, and Piano’, documentaries such as ‘Sacred Image’, ‘Steel in the Depths of the Sea’, and ‘Nguyen Thi Dinh: Portrait of a Female General’, as well as the animated film ‘The Green Land’.
