Finnish, Swiss economic ministers to visit Indonesia

During his three-day visit from October 23, Finish Minister Jan Vapaavuori is scheduled to meet with the Indonesian Ministers of Coordinating Economy, Trade, Research and Technology, Energy and Mineral Resources and Communications and Information, according the Finish embassy’s press release.

Minister Jan Vapaavuori is accompanied by leaders of Finland’s leading businesses in information technology, energy, forestry, environment, transportation, machinery and mining, investment and export credit financing sectors to Indonesia.

Meanwhile, the Swiss Federal Councilor and the Head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Research and Education Johann N. Schneider Ammann will pay a three-day visit to Indonesia from October 26 to enhance economic ties with the archipelagic nation, the Swiss Embassy said.

Ammann is scheduled to meet the State-Owned Enterprises Minister and Trade Minister of Indonesia.

The bilateral trade between Finland and Indonesia in 2012 stood at nearly 647 million USD, while the trade between Switzerland and Indonesia reached almost 600 million USD last year.-VNA
