First agricultural materials festival to take place in Vinh Long

The information was revealed by Director of the provincial Industrial and Trade Department Pham Tu Phuong at a press conference held in Ho Chi Minh City on March 2.
The events offer chances for farmers in the delta to access new advances in agricultural production and materials, he said. Agricultural materials have been a pressing issue over the years as there are various fake and low quality fertilisers and pesticides in Vietnam’s market.
They will be not only a bridge linking trade activities between domestic and foreign businesses, but also an opportunity for the Mekong Delta and Vinh Long province in particular to affirm potential in the country’s economic development strategy.
They are part of activities to promote Vinh Long’s investment in 2018, which has so far seen the registration of nearly 1,000 participants.
Similar events on various themes are expected to be held in different localities, such as a seafood festival in Kien Giang province and a rice festival in Long An province at year’s end.-VNA
