Singapore (VNA) – Singapore on March 16 launched a private hotel-healthcare service provider - Farrer Park Hospital, the first of its kind in the country as well as the region.
The 220-bed medical facility, built directly above the Farrer Park MRT station at a total cost of 800 million SGD (586.2 million USD) is part of a fully integrated hospital-hotel complex named Connexion.
With over 300 accredited specialists and state-of-the-art equipment and advanced technology, the facility offers a wide range of services, including oncology and ophthalmology.
Executive Director of the Farrer Park Hospital Timothy Low told Vietnam News Agency correspondents that his facility is discussing cooperation in human resource training with several Vietnamese hospitals, thus establishing a regional medical network.
The opening ceremony saw the participation of Singaporean Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong and hundreds of visitors.-VNA
