Hanoi (VNA) – The Health Ministry and General Office for Population- Family Planning have launched an online photo competition on the role of senior citizens in response to International Day for Old Persons (October 1) and the Action Month for the Vietnamese Elderly.

The contest is set to run from October 2 to 31, with awards to be announced and presented between November 5 and 10.

All Vietnamese nationals and foreigners living in Vietnam are eligible to send their entries to the email address Each person can submit a maximum of 3 entries, with each entry not exceeding 7 photos.

Submitted photos need to have titles and captions having less than 200 words in Vietnamese. Their contents are recommended to focus on promoting the role of the elderly and communal assistance toward the group.
