First private Vietnamese investment project in US

first Vietnamese private company to do so in the US .
The Vietnamese company specialises in handicraft products that are made from natural fibre. Its revenue exceeded 20 million USD last year and it is employing nearly 10,000 workers.
Its 5-million-USD project will manufacture storage furniture and kitchenware tailored to the demand from the North American market.
Speaking at the November 21 ceremony to launch the project, Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe welcomed the company’s decision to expand trade ties with the US city, contributing to local socio-economic development.
Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Cuong said the project demonstrates the fruitful trade links between Vietnam and the US, which will help spur economic growth in both countries.-VNA
