district of northern Son La province, on the night of July 18.
The accident occurred when a concrete mixer, carrying seven workers of the Nam Soi Hydro-electric Power Plant, slipped off the road at a sharp bend and plummeted into a ravine.
The Northwest Power Development Joint Stock Company, investor of the power plant, provided the victims’ families with aid of 20 million VND each, the Song Ma district People’s Committee – 2 million VND each and the Son La Red Cross – 200,000 VND each./.
