After the ceremony, the event’s organising board held a technical meeting with heads of participating delegations and drew lots to arrange competition schedule.
Athletes from ten ASEAN’s countries including Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar and Vietnam, will compete in five categories at the AARM-24.
Vietnam has sent 31 shooters to this year’s event.
The AARM started in 1990 at the initiative of the ASEAN Chiefs of Army, aiming to strengthen solidarity, mutual understanding and friendship between ASEAN militaries. It is held annually on a rotational basis.-VNA
