For more than two weeks the central region has suffered intensive damage from floods and landslides caused by heavy rainfall.

More than a million people have been impacted by the flooding including at least 119 deaths and 21 people are still missing.

Government officials described the damage as the worst in five years. The Vietnamese Government has sent many missions to the central region to coordinate with regional localities to overcome consequences of floods, provide essential goods and medicines to residents.

The Vietnamese Government and ministries, sectors and agencies to support provincial authorities in responding to natural disasters. Vietnamese people from all over the world are joining hands to support flood-hit residents in the central region./.
