Becamex Binh Duong coach Nguyen Thanh Son is hoping for a draw in their clash against the Republic of Korea's Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in the Asian Football Confederation Champions League on April 8.

After three defeats in Group E, the Vietnamese champions have scored only three goals and conceded 11, and have almost no chance of advancing to the knock-out stages.

"It is our second home match. In our last match against Shangdong Luneng Taishan (of China), we gave it away in the dying minutes. We will try harder tomorrow," said Son at a press briefing April 7.

Binh Duong will not have their best players available, with midfielders Nguyen Trong Hoang, Le Tan Tai and Dinh Luat all out due to injuries.

Top striker Le Cong Vinh's chances of playing are unclear, as he is still recovering from a minor injury.

"It is easy to see the different levels between the two teams. Although we are weaker, we have trained hard and will play on the counter-attack to give our fans an entertaining game," Son said.

A break in the national V.League 1 has given Binh Duong's players more time to practise and prepare physically for the game.

In their last V.League 1 game on April 3, Binh Duong defeated former champions Hanoi T&T 1-0, pushing them to the top of the table.

Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors arrived in Binh Duong province on April 5 to prepare for the match.

Coach Choi Kang-hee said the weather in Vietnam is hotter than in their home town, but his players acclimatise with the new conditions quickly, adding they are ready and will bring the points home.

After three games, Jeonbuk Huyndai Motors lead the group with seven points, followed by Japan's Kashiwa Reysol and Shangdong Luneng of China who will meet each other in China.

Choi is hoping for more goals from capital Lee Dong Gook, who scored twice in the previous match.

He will be supported by Brazilian Edu who is leading the K-League's top scorer with four goals.

Jeonbuk Huyndai Motors are currently second in the K-League Classic, having beaten Pohang Steeler 1-0 on April 4.

The match will be aired live from 6pm on Fox Sports 2.-VNA
