The project “For a World Without Waste” began in Hanoi on October 17, targeting to reduce plastic and solid wastes in Vietnam, mostly in tourist attractions, world heritage sites and coastal communities.

These eco-bricks are made from nylon bags and plastic bottles. And when these stuffed bottles are linked together, they can make chairs like this.

An exhibition on recycling plastic wastes forms part of the launch of the project.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation, which launched the project, also announced recycling art awards to seek creative ideas among youths in the use of recycled materials.-VNA
