Hanoi (VNA) – Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son hosted a reception for Armenian Ambassador to Vietnam Vahram Kazhoyan on April 4. Son took the occasion to affirm that Vietnam attaches importance to and wants to develop the traditional friendship and multi-faceted cooperation with Armenia.
He asked the ambassador to work to restore the exchange of delegations at all levels as the COVID-19 has been contained, and to effectively roll out bilateral cooperation mechanisms such as the inter-governmental committee and political consultations at the level of deputy foreign minister, so as to reach measures for promoting bilateral cooperation in potential fields, particularly trade, transport, education-training and tourism.
Ambassador Kazhoyan expressed pleasure at the progress of bilateral ties over the past time and stressed that big room remains for the two countries to expand their cooperation. He agreed with the host on the need to seek new cooperation fields like food processing or information technology./.
