Fourteen international journalists are visiting Hanoi to cover the capital city’s preparations for its 1,000 th founding anniversary.

Coming at the invitation of Hanoi ’s administration, the journalists were received by the municipal vice chairperson, Ngo Thi Thanh Hang, on September 10, one day after their arrival.

Hang expressed her belief that these reporters will contribute to disseminating information on the millennial celebration of Thang Long-Hanoi around the world.

As scheduled, the reporters will tour sightseeing places in Hanoi ’s inner part, including the Thang Long Citadel – the world cultural heritage, Van Mieu – the world documentary heritage, craft villages, such as Van Phuc silk village and Bat Trang pottery village, and historical sites like Son Tay ancient citadel and Duong Lam ancient village.

They are expected to have working sessions with several prominent businesses in the city during their visit, which will last until September 15./.
