Former Lao official gets Vietnamese decoration
Vietnam has awarded the Friendship Order to the former chief Judge of
the Lao Supreme People’s Court, Khammy Saynhavong, for his significant
contribution to the special relationship between the two countries.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony on May 15 in Vientiane, Khammy Saynhavong said he was delighted to help with modernising Laos’ judicial sector and strengthening cooperation with Vietnam’s judicial sector.
Saynhavong thanked Vietnam for the award, saying it is a great honour for him and for the judicial sector in general.
He added that although being retired, he will try his best to continue to contribute to the deep relationship between Vietnam and Laos.-VNA
