Former US President Bill Clinton is due to visit Vietnam on July 18 as part of his trip to five Asian-Pacific countries to inspect Clinton Foundation operation.

Clinton is visiting India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and Australia from July 16-23, according to the Clinton Foundation website.

The trip highlights Clinton’s longstanding commitment to the Asia-Pacific region, as well as the work of the Clinton Foundation on a number of issues that are critical to the region, including global health and improved access to medicines; climate change; and economic development.

He will deliver remarks at the 20th International AIDS Conference in Melbourne, Australia on July 23.

In Vietnam, Clinton is scheduled to visit an orphanage and inspect the implementation of the Clinton health access initiative programme that aim to prevent HIV transmission among children.-VNA
