Vietnam will play Turkmenistan , the tourney’s defending champions, in the opener at the city’s Thong Nhat Stadium on Oct. 20. It will meet the RoK’s student squad on Oct. 22 and Singapore two days later.
The winners will bag a cash prize of 20,000 USD, while the second and the third teams will pocket 10,000 USD and 5,000 USD, respectively.
The tournament is seen as a warm-up for the Vietnamese team to prepare for the qualifying round of the Asian Cup 2011, where it will face off with Syria in Hanoi on Nov. 14, and during the second leg in Syria on Nov. 18./.
