France, Vietnam work closer in education

A delegation from the Ministry of Education and Training led by Nguyen Phuc Khanh, deputy head of the Department of Science, Technology and the Environment is on a working visit to France from November 28.

The week-long visit aims to share experiences and seek out opportunities for cooperation in management, teaching and scientific research with French universities and other partners.

During their stay, the delegation visited Cachan Teaching University, one of French leading universities which has maintained links in tertiary and post graduate education with Vietnam since 1985.

At present, nearly 30 Vietnamese students and post graduates are studying physics, applied physics and construction at this university.

At a meeting with the French Ministry of Education and Research, both parties discussed ways of promoting cooperation between Vietnamese and French universities and expanding tertiary and postgraduate training, especially for Doctorates and MA degree holders./.
